Investment Conferences as an Engaging Live-Streamed TV Talk Show

The Challenge:

Amundi is the European market leader in sustainable investment funds. To build on its reputation as a leading expert and strengthen its position with its clients, the investment fund provider’s German subsidiary regularly hosts specialized conferences for B2B clients. At this event—which takes place several times a year—participants learn about the latest trends in investment funds and benefit from in-depth analyses and insights from Amundi’s experts.

Due to the restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, it was no longer possible to hold the conference as an in-person event. There was also a desire to refresh the format. The aim was to create a concept that, in terms of professionalism and appeal, would reflect the image of an innovative, dynamic market leader.

Our solution:

cscope designed the conference to have the format and high-quality standards of a TV talk show—featuring interviews and expert discussions. It was presented in a varied and visually appealing way, incorporating elements familiar from television: lighthearted video clips, trailers, and changing camera angles.

And we moved the conference online: Since the relaunch, up to 1,500 participants per event have been following the conference via livestream. Participants watching on their screens have a direct line to the conference studio: They can ask questions of all the experts via chat, and those questions are answered live.

All presentations were recorded and subsequently made permanently available on a microsite (amundi-events.de).

Another key to the format's success is the active promotion of events through CRM-driven, automated online campaigns and smart email marketing.

By digitizing the event and attendee management, our clients gain new opportunities to track audience behavior and use data analysis to gain valuable insights for continuously optimizing the format.

EU Interreg Program: UPSTRAW Project

Design and implementation of online communication

The EU supports straw-based construction: a climate-friendly, traditional, and innovative building method. The German branch of the UPSTRAW program has set itself the goal of continuously providing up-to-date information to prospective builders, architects, and construction companies, as well as presenting its current flagship project—the construction of the largest straw-insulated building in southern Germany—to a broad audience of interested parties.

cscope designed a CMS-based website that project managers can easily update and add to themselves at any time, whilst also providing important service functions for the target audience, such as

• Comprehensive media library with publications, videos, and documentaries
• Technical information for building owners and architects
• National Directory of Specialized Straw Construction Companies
• Blog with the latest information (including training opportunities and events)
• Interactive forum for communication between prospective buyers and sellers
• Podcast Hosting
• Integration with a CRM solution for automatic sign-up for newsletters, etc.

The key factor in the design process is the realization that only those online initiatives that are consistently updated and maintained will be attractive and thus build a relevant user base. The project does not have its own IT staff or online editor; therefore, the focus was placed on establishing a technical foundation and structuring the CMS in a way that allows project managers—even with only basic Office software skills—to update and add all content themselves. Nevertheless, the goal is to achieve an appealing public image that reflects the project’s professionalism.

The dynamic links to online resources from other organizations with expertise in this field—such as the Fachverband Strohballenbau Deutschland e.V. and the ESBA (European Straw Building Association), allow those interested in straw construction and service providers to use the website as an ideal starting point for comprehensive research on the topic.

Ohnhäuser GmbH

Relaunch of Corporate Communications

For the medium-sized company Ohnhäuser GmbH, cscope conceived and implemented a complete relaunch of its corporate communications.

Of central importance is the design and redesign of the website, which will serve as the central platform for corporate communications and marketing in future: ohnhaeuser.de

As part of the redevelopment of the individual media channels, a photo shoot was first carried out to create a comprehensive, up-to-date image library for all corporate communications purposes. The challenge lay in defining a distinctive aesthetic for Ohnhäuser GmbH’s core areas of activity. The result demonstrates just how appealing and engaging the visual language of contemporary industrial communication can be.

Through ongoing dialogue, a content portfolio consisting of structured texts was developed, which is used in various versions for both online and offline applications.

Since 2020, new versions of business stationery, presentation templates and online media, amongst other things, have been in use. Further functional enhancements to the online platform are already planned.

Practice Supplement in Creditreform's "kompetent"
Magazine: Germany Goes ALL-IP

As part of the All-IP campaign for the client Telefónica / O2, cscope helped to design a 16-page practical supplement for Kreditreform’s members’ magazine. In addition, cscope produced a significant proportion of the content, including text, images and graphics.

The purpose of this publication is to inform the target audience—small and medium-sized business owners—about the economic and technical consequences of Telekom’s ISDN phase-out in 2018, as well as to highlight the solutions offered by Telefónica / O2. It presents and explains a variety of needs-based migration paths that allow companies to manage internal and external telephony conveniently and cost-effectively even without ISDN technology—which is still widely used—and often even gain access to modern features that are not possible with ISDN.

The special edition was printed in large numbers and distributed as a supplement to the members’ magazine, which all Kreditreform members receive periodically.

O2 / Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

Digital Innovation Day – All IP Portfolio

The aim of O2’s Digital Innovation Day was to present potential solutions to decision-makers for business customers affected by Telekom’s ISDN switch-off.

cscope designed an information booth to present the three different migration paths in a visually straightforward and easy-to-understand way. To this end, the key hardware components and communication paths of typical corporate PBX infrastructures were displayed on a 4 x 2-meter folding display using newly designed infographics. The display is a hybrid solution combining elements printed on Forex with functional hardware, allowing visitors to try out All-IP phones and cloud-based PBX systems in real time.

The display is a bespoke design, built to be easily dismantled, and is therefore ready for future use, for example at in-house exhibitions or roadshows.

As supplementary print materials, special editions of "Funkschau" were distributed, featuring a detailed overview of all aspects of Telefónica O2's All-IP solutions.
