The Challenge:

Amundi is the European market leader in sustainable investment funds. To build on its reputation as a leading expert and strengthen its position with its clients, the investment fund provider’s German subsidiary regularly hosts specialized conferences for B2B clients. At this event—which takes place several times a year—participants learn about the latest trends in investment funds and benefit from in-depth analyses and insights from Amundi’s experts.

Due to the restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, it was no longer possible to hold the conference as an in-person event. There was also a desire to refresh the format. The aim was to create a concept that, in terms of professionalism and appeal, would reflect the image of an innovative, dynamic market leader.

Our solution:

cscope designed the conference to have the format and high-quality standards of a TV talk show—featuring interviews and expert discussions. It was presented in a varied and visually appealing way, incorporating elements familiar from television: lighthearted video clips, trailers, and changing camera angles.

And we moved the conference online: Since the relaunch, up to 1,500 participants per event have been following the conference via livestream. Participants watching on their screens have a direct line to the conference studio: They can ask questions of all the experts via chat, and those questions are answered live.

All presentations were recorded and subsequently made permanently available on a microsite (amundi-events.de).

Another key to the format's success is the active promotion of events through CRM-driven, automated online campaigns and smart email marketing.

By digitizing the event and attendee management, our clients gain new opportunities to track audience behavior and use data analysis to gain valuable insights for continuously optimizing the format.
